Based just out of Auckland, Earth Candles Co. offers sustainably made natural soy wax candles, housed in upcycled wine and beer bottles.The candlemaker, Craig, manufactures all the wooden lids in-house and makes them out of reclaimed pallet timber. They currently have five core New Zealand scents to choose from plus two seasonal scents. Judith Bayley from Makin’ Scents Soy Candles lives in Hawera. Her candle making hobby started about 4 years ago and has since made many many candles in a variety of different containers.
Makin’ Scents Soy Candles and Soy Melts delivers what soy candle lovers hope for in a candle and sometimes hard to find.
Judith uses only the finest all-natural soy wax which is 100% vegan and non-toxic. All the candles are scented strongly top to bottom and burn cleanly. They are made with carefully selected natural quality fragrances and made with a maximum fragrance load along with cotton wicks.
Every one of these special soy candles is handcrafted in small batches in Judith’s little kitchen.
Soy wax burns at a cooler temperature, meaning that your candle will burn much longer and cleaner. This is such an awesome way to recycle containers and reduce waste being refillable.
They all come with Natural Bamboo lids.
