Lilly is the owner of Love & Light, a small Northland based, bespoke candle business.
Six years ago, her candle making journey started when she couldn’t find any beautifully coloured candles to match her first house’s decor. Her passion has returned tenfold after being on maternity leave with her daughter Macey, as she aims to turn her passion into a profitable company to benefit them going forward.
Lilly also makes exfoliating body scrubs & massage candles, in addition to making her classic candles. As a massage oil, melted wax may be used. It is a moisturizing oil that leaves the skin feeling soft and silky. It is made with a mixture of cocoa butter and shea butter.

Judith Bayley from Makin’ Scents Soy Candles lives in Hawera. Her candle making hobby started about 4 years ago and has since made many many candles in a variety of different containers.
Makin’ Scents Soy Candles and Soy Melts delivers what soy candle lovers hope for in a candle and sometimes hard to find.
Judith uses only the finest all-natural soy wax which is 100% vegan and non-toxic. All the candles are scented strongly top to bottom and burn cleanly. They are made with carefully selected natural quality fragrances and made with a maximum fragrance load along with cotton wicks.
Every one of these special soy candles is handcrafted in small batches in Judith’s little kitchen.
Soy wax burns at a cooler temperature, meaning that your candle will burn much longer and cleaner. This is such an awesome way to recycle containers and reduce waste being refillable.
They all come with Natural Bamboo lids.
