Ngaire from Burnt Offerings specialises in up-cycling second-hand finds by etching glass, mirror, stone and burning onto wood, creating one-off unique pieces of art.

She uses a lot of New Zealand native animals and plants in their designs, and because she uses mainly second-hand finds, no two pieces are ever the same and each piece tells its own story.

• Ngaire uses a hot wire to burn onto wood by hand and can burn onto most woods except custom wood, treated wood and bamboo. The wood needs to be sanded clean before she can burn.
• Ngaire uses a diamond tip connected to a compressor to etch onto stone, mirror and glass

She also does commissions, working on a piece you own or sourcing a piece to fit your requirements.
