Chickpea Children’s Wear
Chickpea Children’s Wear is focussed on providing quality, timeless alternatives to mass production and fast fashion. Their garments aim to be enduring and easy to wear, using quality fabrics, notions and fastenings.
Garments are available for infants and toddlers up to age 5 years. All pieces are made to order using only natural, breathable fibres such as cotton and linen. Fabrics are pre-washed for shrinkage before construction.
Chickpea’s colour palette is inspired by nature and muted vintage tones. Many of the garment styles and colour options are unisex, in a purposeful step away from the typical ‘girls wear pink, boys wear blue’ gender norm.
This business is also conscious of the environment and is especially aware of the negative impacts made by the fashion and textile industry.

The creative mama behind Chuckles, Joyce, specialises in modern cloth nappies as well as a few other products for mums and babies. They are a relatively new home business based in Auckland, which launched early 2020.
Chuckles was built based on the strong belief that no parents should struggle to afford basic cloth nappies, even if it is starting with one nappy a day. Chuckles strive to provide a range of brands and styles of nappies (from affordable to premium) in our online store because they believe that every baby is different and their needs therefore differ.

Crafty Kin creates children’s soft toys, aprons and other handmade items.
Their children’s’ aprons and made for children aged 3-6 years old. It features an elastic neck strap that fits easily over a child’s head, even while wearing a ponytail. A Velcro waist strap is easy for young children to manage.
Since a child needs no help from the adult it fosters independence and contributes to confidence and increased self-esteem. Hayley and Mandy from Matakana started Earthie with the aim of providing all-natural, handmade products for all ages. The name Earthie relates not only to the product ingredients but also the product packaging and shipping supplies – being almost entirely recyclable.
After having their son, Tobie, they had trouble finding a natural nappy balm that wasn’t only kind to his skin but was also cloth nappy friendly. So, they decided to create a product that they felt 100% comfortable using on their precious wee man. From there they decided to create products that fulfilled the needs of those around them.

Eco Kiwi Kids is run by two mamas who noticed their little ones were getting out of touch with nature and getting taken over by screens, rather than being outdoors exploring and making huts like we used to do as kids.

Their eco-friendly activity packs do exactly that, with wonderful educational fun and creative activities. Their Native Plant Activity Pack for ages 3-5 and 6+ focuses on educating kids on the wonders of the plants that grow in our own backyards.
