Chickpea Children’s Wear
Chickpea Children’s Wear is focussed on providing quality, timeless alternatives to mass production and fast fashion. Their garments aim to be enduring and easy to wear, using quality fabrics, notions and fastenings.
Garments are available for infants and toddlers up to age 5 years. All pieces are made to order using only natural, breathable fibres such as cotton and linen. Fabrics are pre-washed for shrinkage before construction.
Chickpea’s colour palette is inspired by nature and muted vintage tones. Many of the garment styles and colour options are unisex, in a purposeful step away from the typical ‘girls wear pink, boys wear blue’ gender norm.
This business is also conscious of the environment and is especially aware of the negative impacts made by the fashion and textile industry.

The creative mama behind Chuckles, Joyce, specialises in modern cloth nappies as well as a few other products for mums and babies. They are a relatively new home business based in Auckland, which launched early 2020.
Chuckles was built based on the strong belief that no parents should struggle to afford basic cloth nappies, even if it is starting with one nappy a day. Chuckles strive to provide a range of brands and styles of nappies (from affordable to premium) in our online store because they believe that every baby is different and their needs therefore differ.

Crafty Kin creates children’s soft toys, aprons and other handmade items.
Their children’s’ aprons and made for children aged 3-6 years old. It features an elastic neck strap that fits easily over a child’s head, even while wearing a ponytail. A Velcro waist strap is easy for young children to manage.
Since a child needs no help from the adult it fosters independence and contributes to confidence and increased self-esteem. After having their son, Tobie, they had trouble finding a natural nappy balm that wasn’t only kind to his skin but was also cloth nappy friendly. The seed for Flourish Maternity was planted while she was pregnant with her first child, Bailey. During pregnancy, she found herself eager to go shopping for nice maternity outfits, but she was disappointed at the variety and the cost! Since then, she has been dreaming about offering affordable maternity and breastfeeding apparel that could make moms feel fantastic.
Alisha gathered requirements from other moms about what they’d want in their pregnancy wardrobe and thus designed her range.
Motherhood is an amazing journey from growing little ones on the inside to watching them develop and flourish on the outside. Alisha’s goal is to help mums feel great while on this amazing journey.

To date, Jade from Frankly My Wears has made over 2500 eco-friendly reusable breast pads. These super soft breast pads are made with 5 layers of fabric, including 2 inner layers of 100% bamboo and 2 outer layers of 100% soft brushed cotton for softness and great absorbency – they don’t use (horrible) plastic waterproofing in their products.
Frankly My Wears also create handmade children’s clothing and accessories.

Meet the Furnitoyz team:Â Euan is a Transport Branch Manager for a transport company in Christchurch, and Michelle works part-time at a preschool, and she has worked in the education sector for the past 10 years and have two grown boys at home.
When their children were growing up, the kids were always looking for something different, that could have been a game, toy or furniture that was well made but it was either too expensive or cheaply made, so Euan would make what they were looking for but they always had a twist to them.
When Michelle started working in the education sector she noticed that a lot of parents were asking about where they could find good quality products that didn’t cost the earth, then a good friend that she worked with suggested them to make a toy box and the Furnitoyz journey began.
They love what they do and would love meeting the Furnitoyz families when they deliver products.
