Wooden toys
Moo & The Gang
A homeschooling family, living fulltime on the road in our vintage bus! Here is the story of Moo & The Gang:
As a Steiner/Waldorf inspired family with small children on one income, beautiful handmade toys were well out of our finances league. So, as true children of our great DIY nation, we made our own!
A few years, and a couple more children {making a total of 4!} down the track, and now proudly a Steiner/Waldorf inspired home-educating family, we decided to share the handmade love.
Our wooden toys are free-cut, sanded, painted with non-toxic waterbased paints, and sealed with a beeswax-coconut oil blend.
We hope our lovingly crafted pieces enrich your home, and inspire you in your own pursuits of DIYness and creativity!
Note: If anyone in your family has a nut allergy that prohibits the use of coconut oil please contact us and we will discuss other sealing options with you.

Pottery, porcelain and ceramics
Mountain View Pottery
Nicole from Mountain View Pottery makes functional pottery items in small batches. She enjoys experimenting with glaze colours and techniques to create pieces that are all individual.
The name ‘Mountain View Pottery’ comes from the street she lives in and the fact that she looks across her backyard to an uninterrupted view of Mt Kakepuku. Mt Kakepuku is in the background of some of the pottery photos, part the logo, and also stamped onto the base of each piece.
All her pottery items are food, microwave and dishwasher-safe unless specifically stated in the description of an item.

Bibs & burp cloths
Ottie & me
Ottie & me make hard-wearing wipeable baby feeding bibs. We make them locally in New Zealand. They catch the mess in their generous pockets. Wipe them clean & save time (& water) by avoiding the washing machine. How many bibs do you machine wash each week?
More about the Maker:
I am Mieke and my Wellington business, Ottie & me make easy-care wipeable feeding bibs. When I couldn’t find the kind of bib I wanted for my daughter, I designed and made my own….and that was the accidental beginning of my business. They are a high-quality product, and with a classic (and well tested!) design, they look great, they work and they last.
They are invaluable to any parent/grandparent of wee ones and make a great baby shower, new baby, or birthday gift.

Poi Creations
Ria is the creator of Poi Creations. As a mother of 4 growing boys that love to represent their region for sports, she found it hard selling raffles, batons up tickets, etc. to the same family members. They all work hard for the money so thought due to her love of crafting and making things with hands, she could make Poi to help. Poi, moved to Poi Xmas decorations, then to Poi earrings.
Ria was born and bred in Porirua and she is a descendent of Ngati Toa, Ngati Raukawa, Ngai Tahu, Rongomaiwahine, and Tuwharetoa. Although they make mostly poi earrings, they are passionate about creating products that are eco-friendly with reusable resources, such as bio-degradable bags, old pillow stuffing, and wool from Op-Shops or leftovers from friends and family.
Ria was very proud when New Zealand PM Jacinda Arden was seen wearing one of her Poi earrings creations recently.

The masks help limit the chances of them breathing in dust amongst many other things that could cause them getting really sick. Our profits are used to make and donate masks to these vulnerable children.
