Baby Mumma
Cherie is the owner of Baby Mumma, born in the heart of Central Otago-New Zealand’s prime merino nation. Her husband was born and raised in the Lower North Island, where his family was involved in the yarn and textile industry. When she was pregnant with her daughter, they started to examine, like all new parents, what was healthy for her precious skin. It wasn’t long before all this experience of merino wool had rushed back into them, and it was just like the birth of Baby Mumma.
Part of becoming a parent, not just now but also in the future, is doing what is best for the child which is why they make a deliberate effort to create goods that are renewable, safe, and biodegradable. Customers purchase quality New Zealand-made goods by joining them on the journey, which in turn helps to protect the children’s future.
Baby Mumma is the innate gratitude, associated with a passion for our world and motivated by the love of our children.

Dirty Hippie
Dawn started making natural personal hygiene products a decade ago when she had trouble finding natural products (at a price she could afford), that were actually natural and worked.
New to motherhood, she was shocked and appalled when she learnt about aluminium in shop-bought deodorant and that it could be passed onto breastfed babies. Her journey progressed and she started making deodorant for her family and friends, first in her kitchen, then their caravan and then a high cabin where she still makes the products today.
Dirty Hippie grew through word of mouth to become the successful small business it is today. Dawn’s objective remains to provide all-natural products that you will love to use, as organic as possible and as affordable as possible.
Dirty Hippie is also passionate about environmentally-friendly packaging, with measures in place to minimise their impact on the environment:
- Lip balms, deodorant and solid moisturiser bars packaged in cardboard tubes
- Kawakawa balm in glass jars with metal lids
- Shampoo & Conditioner bars with only a paper wrapper
- Raw honey is available in glass jars

The Ironclad Pan Company
The Ironclad Pan Company was founded in 2019 by Kate Slavin, Levi Slavin and Joe Carter. Their aim was to create a sustainable product that would be a return to beautiful craft and traditional techniques. In an era of disposable stuff, the team wanted to create a product that would last for generations.
Why cast iron skillets? Levi and Kate had a set at home that they had inherited. Each daily use was a reminder of their family. And when family recipes were prepared in the original skillets—splashing oil where they had splashed oil, carefully placing fish where they had placed fish—something magical seemed to happen. It was a true connection through time.
As their family grew, like all parents, so did their desire to leave a healthier planet for their children.
So Kate, a designer by trade, began to sketch designs for a new skillet. One that would be sustainably manufactured here in New Zealand and last for generations to come.
Levi and Joe set out to find a way to prove their belief. If it was designed to last, what better way to prove it than to offer a guarantee. One that would last longer than any on the market. They settled on a modest 100-years and cast that contract in iron on the base of every single skillet.
Next, chef and film director Felicity Morgan-Rhind joined the team. Felicity elevated the vision of the Ironclad Pan Company to a larger audience. Helping share the founding principles of a locally made, sustainable product with an international audience.
