Robyn from Rhubarb Patch Creations creates soft toys using Amigurumi crochet technique. Each piece is one of a kind, a unique heirloom that can be passed down to the next generation.
Robyn is also able to make customised pieces as required.
* What is Amigurumi crochet?
Amigurumi (ē·Øćæćććæ, lit. “crocheted or knitted stuffed toy”) is the Japanese art of knitting or crocheting small, stuffed yarn creatures. The word is a compound of the Japanese words ē·Øćæ ami, meaning “crocheted or knitted”, and å ćæ kurumi, literally “wrapping”, as in ēø«ćå ćæ nuigurumi “(sewn) stuffed doll”.
Nicole from Mountain View Pottery makes functional pottery items in small batches. She enjoys experimenting with glaze colours and techniques to create pieces that are all individual.
The name ‘Mountain View Pottery’ comes from the street she lives in and the fact that she looks across her backyard to an uninterrupted view of Mt Kakepuku. Mt Kakepuku is in the background of some of the pottery photos, part the logo, and also stamped onto the base of each piece.
All her pottery items are food, microwave and dishwasher-safe unless specifically stated in the description of an item.
