With decades of sewing experience and a strong eye for detail, Helena (Na Na) is utilising her skills to produce high quality, handmade products.
During the COVID19 pandemic, she has dedicated her time to producing reusable face masks at an affordable cost. She has come up with a design that fits snugly on the face after refining several prototypes earlier this year and is comfortable to wear for extended periods. All the materials used to produce these masks are carefully selected and purchased within the community from local businesses.
Since then Helena has expanded her product range to include a variety of other products for the whole family, including your furry pets!
She can customise and personalise products as required.
Leanne is the creator behind Anna Lee Handmade. She opened Anna Lee Handmade in August 2014 with the aim of providing high-quality handmade items for little ones.
Leanne enjoys colour, simple patterns, and easy to wear and care for styles. What started out as a love of buying handmade clothing for her little girl quickly developed to a love of creating handmade clothing.
Her aim is to create fun and affordable handmade clothing for the little boys and girls in your life. She has a supply of ready-to-post items and also welcomes custom orders in the style, size, and fabric of the customer’s choice.
Nicole from Mountain View Pottery makes functional pottery items in small batches. She enjoys experimenting with glaze colours and techniques to create pieces that are all individual.
The name ‘Mountain View Pottery’ comes from the street she lives in and the fact that she looks across her backyard to an uninterrupted view of Mt Kakepuku. Mt Kakepuku is in the background of some of the pottery photos, part the logo, and also stamped onto the base of each piece.
All her pottery items are food, microwave and dishwasher-safe unless specifically stated in the description of an item.
Hello everyone! I am based in the Tararua District and create clothing in my little sewing studio. I stated sewing for myself and my children 4 years ago as I was sick of the synthetic, poor quality and generic looking clothing I found in stores.
My most popular items are womens’ and children’s underwear. But regularly make hoodies, pants and tees. I work with mostly cotton and merino fabrics.
I can make most children’s items up to a size 12/14 and women’s up to 3xl.
You pick the fabric you love and I create something you will love!
