All the products used to create the products are sourced from nature. Clays, spices, botanicals, herbs, seaweed, superfoods, coffee, butter, oils, essential oils, and more. Hand created with love and care to nourish skin and care for the largest organ. Without the use of artificial colors, synthetic fragrances, and damaging chemicals. Palm oil-free, as while this provides hardness in soap, it’s destroying the wildlife environment and displacing villagers.
Handmade by Karen is a zero-waste, eco-friendly, and sustainable mindset business. Packaging for soaps sold online is with paper and cardboard, no plastic. Everything is made by hand, with love, in small batches or to order.

Founded in 2020 during the Covid-19 outbreak. In this time we all had to take a step back and adjust to the changes in the world which mainly involved around work, business, family and the overall balance. During this time Suus took the opportunity to start something close to her heart and be creative. What is more satisfying than doing what you love for those you love? Chickpea Children’s Wear
Chickpea Children’s Wear is focussed on providing quality, timeless alternatives to mass production and fast fashion. Their garments aim to be enduring and easy to wear, using quality fabrics, notions and fastenings.
Garments are available for infants and toddlers up to age 5 years. All pieces are made to order using only natural, breathable fibres such as cotton and linen. Fabrics are pre-washed for shrinkage before construction.
Chickpea’s colour palette is inspired by nature and muted vintage tones. Many of the garment styles and colour options are unisex, in a purposeful step away from the typical ‘girls wear pink, boys wear blue’ gender norm.
This business is also conscious of the environment and is especially aware of the negative impacts made by the fashion and textile industry.
