Height charts made from up-cycled New Zealand timber, On Wood is a family run business that originated from their own need.
Did you know that in New Zealand, on average, each family moves home every four years? A little difficult then to keep the same bedroom door jamb. Little people grow into big people so very quickly and now you never have to leave behind those precious records. Preserve those memories and treasure your child’s very own height chart from the UpWood height chart range.
Each height chart is carefully made with love (using up-cycled New Zealand Pine, Kauri and Rimu) from our family to yours.
Holly is a pattern-maker and sewing machinist and spent many years working in the fashion and film industries. She began supplying friends and family with the cloth pads, as more and more people wanted to stop using throwaway products. She wanted to make a pad that was not only way better for your health and the health of the planet, but user-friendly, comfortable, and easy to care for.
Based out of Leigh, all pads are fully machine washable, and dryable, and each one will last over 5 years, and replace over 120 disposable products.
Francis and Frouwke Bruining, a Kiwi-Dutch couple living in Waihi are the artists behind Hasina Art. What started as a homeschool project for their son, turned into Hasina Art. Hasina means beautiful.
Their designs are inspired by the cultures around them and by the peoples and nations they visited during their travels.
Their ceramics are embossed with English tea roses, Swedish designs, Polish folklore, Māori borders. They love the history of New Zealand and use Māori symbols and designs to tell the story of this awesome country we live in.
Dianne is the owner of Soalchemy (pronounced Soul-chemy). It all began with a quest to make a better family soap, which became a hobby, and as demand grew, became a small company. It’s a family-owned company, 100% kiwi. Soalchemy is a soap, a spirit, and an alchemy fusion!
Dianne is proud to make soaps that lather well and leave hands feeling clean but not dried out. She uses quality ingredients to ensure good results for the customers. For optimal performance, she highly suggests stocking soap on a well-drained soap dish. It is very important to her ideology to eliminate plastic waste. Plastic is used sparingly and is being progressively removed. Most items are wrapped in wax paper, cardboard shipping and packaging are used, and cardboard labels are used.
