Matt from Rustic Yard Creations has always had a passion for designing and building stuff.Ā As a kid he built toys, as a teenager, he focussed on cars, and as an adult, his focus moved to house renovations and carpentry.
With many years of experience under the belt, Matt decided to take the plunge and start a new chapter in his life – turning his dreams into reality and sharing his love for woodworking with the world as a profession.
Hello everyone! I am based in the Tararua District and create clothing in my little sewing studio.Ā I stated sewing for myself and my children 4 years ago as I was sick of the synthetic, poor quality and generic looking clothing I found in stores.
My most popular items are womens’ and children’s underwear. But regularly make hoodies, pants and tees. I work with mostly cotton and merino fabrics.
I can make most children’s items up to a size 12/14 and women’s up to 3xl.
You pick the fabric you love and I create something you will love!
Nicole from Mountain View Pottery makes functional pottery items in small batches. She enjoys experimenting with glaze colours and techniques to create pieces that are all individual.
The name ‘Mountain View Pottery’ comes from the street she lives in and the fact that she looks across her backyard to an uninterrupted view of Mt Kakepuku. Mt Kakepuku is in the background of some of the pottery photos, part the logo, and also stamped onto the base of each piece.
All her pottery items are food, microwave and dishwasher-safe unless specifically stated in the description of an item.
Jenni, the artist behind Handmade Mum loves to sew cute baby slippers and booties and soft toys using vintage wool blankets.
The baby slippers have elastic backs to keep them on and are made from vintage 100% wool blankets and soft flannelette lining under the front section for extra comfort. The sole is wool as well, so they’re not designed for wooden floors.
Sizes: 0-6 months, 6-12 months and 12-18 months.
