Lil’ Lucy Locket
Melissa is the creative mind behind Lil’ Lucy Locket (named after my first grandbaby) and she’s based in Timaru.
She dusted off the sewing machine when her first grandchild arrived and has not looked back since.
Melissa makes children’s vests from 100% New Zealand wool blankets. They range from 1-4 in sizes and are very generously sized.
She also creates bats for soft toys and ribbon wands (great for indoor play).

She designs clothes in sizes from 0-3 months for both boys and girls and goes up to 8 years. These are beautifully handmade pieces for the little one’s wardrobe, made from high-quality earthy coloured fabrics.
All the items are made to order, and turn over time is between 1 and 2 weeks.

Her doll beds are especially cute. They make great gifts for Christmas or birthdays for any little doll lover and should fit both the handmade dolls she sells as well as dolls purchased elsewhere. Caitlyn from Handmade Creations makes these soft toys using patterns from a crochet pattern designer. All soft toys are fitted with safety eyes and made from acrylic wool.
