Francis and Frouwke Bruining, a Kiwi-Dutch couple living in Waihi are the artists behind Hasina Art. What started as a homeschool project for their son, turned into Hasina Art. Hasina means beautiful.
Their designs are inspired by the cultures around them and by the peoples and nations they visited during their travels.
Their ceramics are embossed with English tea roses, Swedish designs, Polish folklore, MÄori borders. They love the history of New Zealand and use MÄori symbols and designs to tell the story of this awesome country we live in.
